We have implemented a tentative fix which we hope will alleviate the email issues. We still recommend apps get their own API key for Sendgrid.

Update

We are continuing to work with SendGrid to get this situation resolved. Identified

We have been made aware of a problem with our free email integration, e-mail related features, such as Send Reset Password, Send Email, and Send Confirmation Email actions are currently unavailable for users without a Sendgrid key.
We are working on a fix, please set up and use your own Sendgrid Key in the meantime.
