Details about the incident on October 31, 2025
Problem: All users were unable to access Bubble services in all regions for about 30 minutes, between 5:08 and 5:38 PM ET
Cause: A change was merged to our data layer service that introduced a network configuration issue, preventing our data layer service from reaching the cache endpoint. This caused requests to hang indefinitely.
Steps to resolve: We identified the problematic change and rolled back to a previous working version. Service was restored by redeploying the previous version.
How we’re following up:
Pausing deploys to this service while we make our automated test suite and readiness checks more robust against this type of issue
Adding a faster rollback mechanism to enable us to fully restore much more quickly
